1. Agreement
By using MySolarSA ("the Site"), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. What we do
MySolarSA connects homeowners with independent solar installers. We do not install solar systems ourselves. We provide a website and form that collects your interest in solar or backup solutions and, with your consent, shares your details with independent installers who may contact you with quotes.
3. What we do not do
- We do not design, supply, or install solar or electrical systems
- We do not guarantee that installers will quote, call, or offer a price
- We do not guarantee savings, payback periods, or system performance
- Estimates on the Site are illustrative only and are not quotes, offers, or financial advice
4. Your responsibilities
You confirm that:
- Information you submit is accurate and relates to you or a property you are authorised to enquire about
- You are capable of entering into enquiries with installers
- You will review any installer contract carefully before signing
5. Installer relationships
Installers are independent third parties. Any agreement for survey, installation, payment, warranties, or after-sales support is between you and the installer. MySolarSA is not a party to that agreement and is not liable for installer workmanship, delays, or products.
6. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the Site (including submitting false leads, scraping, introducing malware, or attempting to disrupt services).
7. Intellectual property
Site content, branding, and design are owned by MySolarSA or its licensors. You may not copy or reuse them without permission, except as allowed by law.
8. Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by South African law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including the Consumer Protection Act where it applies).
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MySolarSA is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from installer services, reliance on estimates, or decisions you make after receiving quotes. Our aggregate liability related to the Site is limited to R1,000 or the amount you paid us (if any) in the prior 12 months — whichever is greater (placeholder cap for counsel review).
10. Privacy
Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. You can request deletion via our data deletion form.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, subject to rights you have under law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Courts of South Africa have jurisdiction, without limiting mandatory consumer protections.
